An opportunity for a full-time Avionics Manager/Technician has arisen within a well established company with developing expansion plans. Our client is dedicated to providing customer service to the highest standard.
Job Specification for Avionics Manager/Technician:
To work unsupervised and accurately, able to instruct and carry out all Avionics tasks.
Have a hands on approach to other Avionics/instrument related tasks and be willing to learn to use competently a variety of the latest Avionic and Instrument test equipment.
Capable of Avionics installation design and understand EASA modification procedures.
Assess and troubleshoot Avionic/Electrical/Instrument maintenance and defects.
Liaise with the Administration Office and keep an accurate daily time sheet to record aircraft worked upon.
Liaise with the Stores personnel and undertake parts requisition from the bonded aircraft stores.
Liaise and work with airframe/engine personnel within the maintenance team.
Liaise directly with Customers when necessary.
Use a computer to access and interpret CD Rom based maintenance data.
To access and interpret maintenance data with the use of a micro fiche reader.
To be prepared to adjust working hours and arrangements when necessary.
On occasions, it may be necessary to work extra hours to meet deadlines, it is anticipated that the post holder would have the flexibility to be able to vary their hours to the needs and requirements of the company.
Our client operates a no smoking policy on premises.
Candidate Requirements:
B2 licence with type rating Full Group 3 or similar essential with GA and Rotary experience.
Experience in Design and EASA Modification procedures.
Experience in carrying out electrical installations and refits, post installation testing and troubleshooting.
Experience with Garmin, Avidyne and other Glass panel system preferred.
Experience in carrying out Avionic/Electrical/Instrument testing and calibration.
A comprehensive understanding of general electronics principles with familiarity with Aerospace Electrical/Avionic installations.
A comprehensive knowledge of wiring and soldering techniques, with the ability to use a variety of crimping tools.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, without compromising safety and quality of workmanship.
Clean and current driving license.
